Qoros 3 Hatch Is China's Answer to the C-Segment Hatchback
It was one year ago that Chinese brand Qoros launched the 3 Sedan, a handsome, if conservatively styled, attempt to once again move Chinese-designed and built cars outside the People's Republic. For the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, we're getting a first-hand look at the brand's followup to the 3 Sedan - the 3 Hatch.

If you liked the looks of Qoros' 2013 Geneva debut, you aren't likely to be disappointed by its 2014 debut. Early teasers indicated that the Hatch would share a front-end look with the sedan, and indeed, from the beltline up, the 3 Sedan and Hatch share a very strong family resemblance. The long-roof 3, though, seems better proportioned in our eyes than the Sedan.

When we originally reported on the C-segment 3 Hatch, it wasn't entirely clear which engines would be at its disposal. We knew there'd be naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions of the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder, although we can't say for certain that they're the exact same engines found in the 3 Sedan (it's probable, though). Equipped with the NA mill, drivers will have access to 126 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. Going turbocharged adds 30 hp and 40 lb-ft.
