Viral Tesla Model 3 Turned Into a Mobile Kitchen Is Pure Yuck

Over the years, we've seen some of the strangest, most off-putting, and controversial fads, challenges, and trends take over the internet, and many of them predictably spilled into our field of interest: cars. From crashing cars just to get followers upset at the waste and pointlessness of it all to turning sedans into mobile homes or the most ridiculous mods, we've seen it all.

Until this Tesla Model 3 rolled along. File this under "laugh but stop at that," because this is not the kind of content you want to use as your inspiration – today, tomorrow, or ever. Here's one content creator using her all-white Model 3 as a mobile kitchen, cooking a variety of meals from the driver's seat, and sharing the experience with her followers.

Her name is Alyssa, and she got what she described as her "dream" car, the Model 3, in October 2020. Four years later and trying her luck with various other stuff, including light modeling, travel photos, and beauty product reviews, Alyssa is putting her Tesla to work. And it's the very definition of "yuck."

Three weeks ago, Alyssa did her first cooking video from inside her Model 3: seafood boil, using a plastic cutting board, a portable electric grill and hot pot that rests on the center armrest, and what looks like a winter jacket for support under that cutting board.

The videos are tailor-made for TikTok, with quick cuts that prevent you from seeing what you shouldn't, ingredients being slapped onto the board or thrown into the pot, and loud noises. They culminate with footage of Alyssa's loud eating, which is yet another viral trend that should never have happened but is meant here to convince you that the food she just cooked is very tasty, indeed.

Since that first video, which topped at nearly 9 million views, Alyssa has done others. The same Model 3 and the same gear were used to cook everything from fried chicken wings, Korean corndogs, Indian curry, lobster pasta, and tanghulu – all in the same unsanitary, unwashed, yucky manner.

We're not hating just for the heck of it, either. Reactions to the video range from mocking ("WITH THE WHITE INTERIOR, YOURE SO BRAVE") to mostly disgusted ("The bacteria in that car") and utterly confused ("But why"). Alyssa has not addressed the criticism, and considering how popular these videos are, she probably won't.

So, let's end this on a positive note. Cooking in your car is not sanitary and is not safe. It's probably not legal, either. So laugh if you want at the stupidity of what looks like a new online fad, but stop short of following it. And never treat your future meal with so much disrespect as Alyssa does by smacking the hell out of it.
