Nothing like going south of the border for a horsepower battle.
The recently discontinued Corvette ZR1 was just about perfect in stock form. With 638 horsepower coming from its supercharged 6.2-liter V8, the ultimate C6 Vette will remain a force to be reckoned with for years to come. But 638 hp doesn’t have to be enough and with the help of several modifications, one owner was able to squeeze nearly an extra 100 ponies out of it. This thing is so fast that it actually shoots flames, and what better place to let it loose than on an empty street in Mexico.
The guys over at 1320 Video recently met up with this ZR1 and its 16-year-old owner south of the border for a night of racing. Activities like this are considered illegal in the US. In Mexico, authorities just turn a blind eye.
