Chevrolet celebrates 100 years
In 1911, race car driver Louis Chevrolet and General Motors founder William C.Durant, presented the first car brand Chevrolet: Classic Six. 100 years later, Chevrolet has sold more than 200 million cars worldwide, including 4.2 million in 2010 alone, making a new Chevrolet bought every 7.4 seconds!

In Mauritius, the Chevrolet brand is represented by Eldomotors, a subsidiary of CFAO, the leader in automobile distribution in Africa. Since then, the Chevrolet brand cars are becoming more numerous on our roads. True blow of heart of Mauritians, Chevrolet produced the strongest growth in 2010 with 91% in the automobile market in Mauritius.

The luxury, comfort, innovation, security, performance and sleek design are all aspects that have met the drivers of cars of the brand for a century.

This anniversary must be celebrated with dignity. Thus Chevrolet introduced a range of European premieres at the Geneva Motor Show. One of them is the new Aveo 4-door and 5-door, whose commercial launch is expected in Mauritius in August 2011.

Other novelties are the 5-door Cruze and Orlando are expected in Mauritius later this year. Eldomotors account also launch this year its new Captiva 2.4 and 3.0 petrol V6.

Finally, to mark 100 years, the local dealer will offer from May 1 free Bluetooth kit for next 100 buyers Chevrolet.
