A meeting of the Board was held yesterday afternoon at the headquarters of the NTC in Vacoas. The proposal to seek damages from the EBCI was made by the employee representative on the board, Kishore Bholah. The EBCI, which hopes to launch in the tertiary education sector, won last April, the tender launched by the NTC for the sale of its building. She had made a proposal of Rs 126 million, higher than the Central Electricity Board (CEB). All documents relating to the sale have been transferred to the buyer by the NTC June 13.
