Supply Carbutants: Cader Sayed Hossen Reassures
Insurance companies refuse to cover operating refineries with crude oil from Iran. The Mauritian Minister of Commerce is reassuring.

The Hindustan Times reported on its website that Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Ltd, our supplier of petroleum products could therefore stop all imports from Iran. This country is subject to international financial embargo.

Mauritians are wondering what will happen to our stock of petroleum products in case MRPL could no longer provide the country fuels. According to the Minister of Commerce, MRPL officials had given the government guarantee that our supply will not be disrupted.

Cader Sayed Hossen also announced on Radio Plus, Monday, March 11, negotiations are underway for the renewal of the agreement, which expires in July, with MRPL, a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd..
