Penalty Points Will Not Come Into Force on 1 April
"The license point will not enter into force on 1 April as originally announced," said Anil Bachoo, Minister of Public Infrastructure at Le Matinal.

However, it was added, the authorities will not extend the deadline imposed so that drivers can take their 'Driving Licence Counterpart ' (DLC). "We currently finalizing the permit developed for its implementation after April 1," said the minister.

262,600 license holders or the 'Learner's License, are still not in possession of their DLC. Only 387 400 650 000 drivers on the country's took possession of this document.
