Trion Nemesis Promises 2,000 Horsepower, Lots Of Carbon

Such a company is Trion, who have just announced a new model called the Nemesis. The company promises 2,000 horsepower from a 9.0-liter (!) twin-turbo V8, as well as a carbon-fiber monocoque and body, and carbon-ceramic brakes.

It will have a pushrod suspension, an internet-connected digital dashboard and active aerodynamics. The American boutique builder is claiming a 0-62 mph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 280 mph. It will also have very strange doors, which can only be described as suicide scissor doors; your call on whether those are too bizarre. The price will be about $1 million. Now for the usual skepticism disclaimer. Although it looks better thought out than a lot of the supposedly upcoming hypercars from other startup boutiques, we almost never see actual cars from them. We’ll just have to wait and see with this one, which is said to arrive in 2016.
