2015 Nissan GT-R: Now More Sophisticated
But don't worry, it'll never be too refined.

While all of the hoopla right now is centered on the new GT-R Nismo, Nissan hasn’t neglected the so-called "base" model. Model year 2015, very likely the car’s last, brings a few improvements that aim to make the GT-R somewhat more refined towards the direction of the GT category. But don’t think for a moment the GT-R has gone soft. Its suspension was re-calibrated to offer better stability and more consistent grip for an improved ride. The steering has also been fine-tuned to make daily driving around town a bit easier.

However, the GT-R’s feedback during high-speed driving remains unaffected. Outside, the 2015 GT-R receives multi-LED headlights and a four-ring LED taillight signature. There’s also a new Adaptive Front Lighting System that automatically adapts the angle of the light beam according to the speed of the car. Simply put, as the car goes faster, the headlight angle projects further. Buyers can now opt for Gold Flake Red Pearl exterior paint as well as Pale Ivory interior trim (both shown here). Last up is an optional carbon-fiber rear wing that’s attached to a carbon trunk lid, which weighs half as much as the standard lid. Updated pricing hasn’t been released.
