2015 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year Finalists Revealed

The selected – three in cars and three in trucks/utilities – will vie for the coveted Tiffany crystal, which will be presented at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday, January 12. The finalists are:

2015 North American Car of the Year

• Ford Mustang
• Hyundai Genesis
• Volkswagen Golf/GTI

2015 North American Truck/Utility of the Year:

• Chevrolet Colorado
• Ford F-150
• Lincoln MKC

The finalists were determined by the votes of 57 North American jurors who work in all forms of media – magazine, newspaper, television, online and radio, and their ballots were tabulated in secret by accounting firm Deloitte & Touche.

The awards, now in their 22nd year, are unique in the auto industry in that they are not tied to a particular publication, guild or auto show. The NACTOY awards are self-funded by the jurors themselves.

The 2015 NACTOY winners will join last year's victors, Chevrolet's Corvette Stingray and Silverado.

The jurors will continue to evaluate each of the six finalists before another round of voting and tabulation is held ahead of the Detroit show. The jurors will learn who the winners are at the same time the public and the industry does: live on stage on January 12.
