2016 Kia Sportage – In Images

Sharing underpinnings with the new Hyundai Tucson, which had its debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the 2016 Sportage is larger and more aerodynamic than its predecessor. At 4,480 mm in length and 2,670 mm in wheelbase, engineers have made the SUV longer by 40 mm and 30 mm respectively while drag has reduced from 0.35 to 0.33.

Coming to the powertrain, Kia will offer the Sportage with a 1.6-liter GDI and T-GDI engines with power outputs of 132 PS and 177 PS respectively. The diesel engine range comprises of a 1.7-liter 115 PS CRDi and a 2.0-liter CRDi with power outputs of 136 PS and 184 PS. These engines can be had with a 6-speed manual, an automatic or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Noteworthy features include wireless charging of mobile devices, high beam assist, LED foglights, Autonomous Emergency Braking, 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, Blind Spot Detection and a 320 Watt JBL sound system.
