The facelifted Mitsubishi ASX incorporates the brand’s “Dynamic Shield” front design concept which has been seen so far on the facelifted third-gen Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV II, third generation Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Mitsubishi eX Concept. At the sides, there appears to be new 17-inch alloy wheel design and the rear-end seems to have remained more or less unchanged.
Interior features include leather seats with heating and 8-way power adjustment functions, 10.1-inch display for the infotainment system which features HD video playback support, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
The 2016 Mitsubishi ASX is available with two engine options in China: 4A92 1.6-litre MIVEC four-cylinder petrol unit that produces 91 kW (122 hp) and 149 Nm of torque and 4B11 2.0-litre MIVEC four-cylinder petrol unit 123 kW (165 hp) and 197 Nm of torque. The 1.6L unit is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission which sends power to the front wheels. The 2.0L unit is mated to a continuously variable transmission which sends power to the front wheels in the 2WD model or to all four wheels in 4WD model.
