The Nissan Note (Nissan Versa Note in the USA) has been rumoured to receive a hybrid powertrain for the past year.

Now, new images published on livedoor Blog seems to have revealed the alleged Nissan Note Hybrid's promotional material, hinting at an imminent domestic (Japanese) launch.

The Nissan Note Hybrid is reported to feature a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain. Unlike conventional hybrids, the Nissan Note Hybrid's wheels will be driven only using electric power. The petrol engine will do just one job, recharge the car's battery pack used to generate electric power for the wheels. The fuel economy figure is said to be close to 40 km/l.

The Nissan Note Hybrid also previews the 2017 Nissan Note (facelift). Apparently the visual changes include redesigned headlamps, new V-motion grille, reshaped lower grille and restyled bumper with bigger fog lamps. The profile seems to have remained unchanged, while the rear-end may feature new tail lights and restyled bumper.

The Nissan Note e-Power will reportedly be unveiled in October 2016 and could go on sale in Japan in November 2016. It remains to be seen if and when this electrified variant hits the global markets. The 2017 Nissan Note (facelift) could be launched in the international markets in the first half of next year.
