2018 Honda HR-V (facelift) launched in Thailand
The facelifted Honda HR-V was launched in Thailand last week.

The 2018 Honda HR-V features subtle design changes and new equipment. It was revealed earlier this year in January and went on sale in Japan the following month.

The 2018 Honda HR-V has only minor visual changes. At the front, the updated model features a more prominent signature wing and Honda logo, honeycomb mesh pattern for the upper grille, new lower grille with horizontal slats, sharper bumper and full-LED headlamps. At the rear, there's a new chrome stripe linking the tail lamps. Honda has introduced a new body paint option called 'Passion Red Pearl', which is exclusive to a new 'RS' grade that comes with unique 17-inch dual-tone wheels.

Thanks to the addition of Honda LaneWatch Blind Spot Display and CTBA (City-Brake Active System) autonomous emergency braking system, the Honda HR-V is now safer. Both these features were available in the pre-facelift model in other markets. Another feature added to the B-SUV is a panoramic sunroof.

The Honda HR-V has continued with the 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engine post facelift. The naturally aspirated four-cylinder mill produces 104 kW (141 PS) at 6,500 rpm and 172 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. As before, it sends power to the wheels via a continuously variable transmission.

The 2018 Honda HR-V will reach Thai dealerships on 8 July 2018. Bookings are now open, and there are three grades to choose from - E, EL, and RS.
