Alpine Will Debut Its New A110 Sports Car Successor At Geneva
Looks like we have less than two months to wait for the Alpine A120's debut

We've been looking forward to seeing the long-awaited rebirth of Renault's Alpine A110 sports car rumored to be called the A120. Sources recently indicated that a reveal was on the cards at last week's Monte Carlo Rally. Sadly, that didn't happen. If it's any consolation, though, its reveal has been all-but confirmed to be happening at year's Geneva Motor Show, which commences on March 7, since Alpine has been confirmed to be an exhibitor at the event.

According to the floor plan of the show, Alpine will be appearing in Hall 4 alongside the likes of Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, Isuzu, Lexus and SsangYong. As one of the most significant auto shows of the year in Europe, it seems highly likely that the A120 will finally make its public debut at Geneva 2017. Alpine has been taking reservations for the Premiere Edition since last month which is limited to 1,955 units, but little is known about the production model other than the fact it has a choice of three colors, can reach 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a starting price of $59,000 - $64,000.

The Alfa Romeo 4C rival is thought to have a 1.8-liter turbocharged petrol engine derived from a 1.6-liter unit used in the Renault Clio RS, but this has yet to be confirmed. Power output is expected to be 250 horsepower, with the possibility of a 300-hp performance variant and a convertible joining the line-up. All will hopefully revealed in less than two months' time, but expect some teasers to surface online in the coming weeks.
