Back to School: School Bus Costs Rs 100 More
From the school year, parents who use vans for busing their children will have to pay 15% more than last year. This rate is about Rs 100, as last year, the price ranged between Rs 600 and Rs 700 per child. The increase was 850 school vans.

On the eve of the school year, parents spend lavishly to equip their offspring before the big day. An additional expense that some had perhaps not expected, has been added to the cost of materials. Indeed, those who use vans for busing their children will have to pay an additional Rs 100 on average.

Last year, the price ranged between Rs 600 and Rs 700 per child. " There will be a 15% increase from the back , "says Nazir Junggee, president of KomiteVan Lékol .

According to him, the increase is inevitable for several reasons. One of them is the 20% increase in the cost of public transport in August 2013. " We must also consider the cost of maintenance, spare parts, higher diesel and insurance. The increase reflects the services we offer to children , "he explains. This increase was 850 school vans registered with theNationalTransport Authority (NTA) and holders of a Public Service Vehicle Licence .
