Putting these rumours to an end, a new report from MotorBeam says that the Bajaj Pulsar AS 150 and Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 are here to stay with a BS IV upgrade.
The report says that the production of the Bajaj Pulsar AS 150 and Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 is still on, but is unclear about whether the changes with respect to the BS IV upgrade have been made. Some cosmetic changes are also planned.
The Bajaj Pulsar AS 150 is powered by the 149.5 cc DTS-i twin-spark engine that delivers 17 PS at 9,500 rpm and 13 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The air-cooled engine is paired to a 5-speed transmission. It's available in Red, Blue and Black colours.
The Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 packs the bigger and more advanced 199.5 cc DTS-i triple-spark engine that develops 23.5 PS at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The liquid-cooled engine routes power via a 6-speed transmission. The AS 200 is offered in Red, Blue and Black colours.
