Bajaj Pulsar 220 modified into KTM 390 Duke
Bike modifications are in vogue these days. Having a customised motorcycle is considered an extension of one’s personality.

We have seen quite a few modified Royal Enfield bikes and, more recently, a well-executed Bajaj Dominar 400 to Suzuki Hayabusa conversion. Here's one such custom Bajaj Pulsar 220 that has been modified into a new-gen KTM 390 Duke.

As seen in the video, the modified Bajaj Pulsar 220 features quite a few parts from the KTM 390 Duke, including the fuel tank, tail section, raised handlebar and the front fender. The motorcycle also uses the KTM Duke knuckle guards, while a trellis frame is bolted onto the original chassis.

The handlebar, alloy wheels and the trellis frame receive golden paint treatment, while the telescopic forks receive an orange paint scheme. The KTM 390 Duke's tail section is steeply raked, which makes the customised Bajaj Pulsar 220 a strict single seater. The headlight cluster is borrowed from the 250 Duke, which retains the LED DRLs. However, it comes with aftermarket twin-beam LED lights.

The stock speedometer is weirdly placed on the right side of the engine. While it is perfectly functional, it isn't really aesthetic in placement. The modified Bajaj Pulsar 220 features frame sliders that are bolted onto the trellis frame. The motorcycle receives a free flow air filter and a full exhaust system.

The modified Bajaj Pulsar 220 has a custom swingarm along with a NOS cylinder placed below it on the right side. It's not clear if the Nitrous Oxide can is functional or has been added purely for aesthetic purposes. While the stock telescopic front forks are carried over, the rear gets a mono-shock unit. There's a lot of KTM 390 Duke branding on the tank and tail section among other parts.

Mechanically, the modified Bajaj Pulsar 220 remains unchanged. The bike is powered by a 220 cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that is capable of producing 21 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 19.12 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
