Mahebourg is in turmoil. Aartee Teepsoo, 27 years, living in the streets of the Creoles, died tragically on Saturday morning, around five o'clock. She was returning from the holy lake when the tragedy occurred at Beau Vallon.
Her last pilgrimage. A young 27 year old woman has died in tragic circumstances on the main road to Beau Vallon. The five other occupants of the car, all from the same family, were injured, and the status of two of them is deemed serious.
Aartee Teepsoo, her husband Kamal, his brother Rakesh, his sister-Padmini , and their two children are on their way home after a prayer session at the Grand Basin, as part of the feast Maha Shivaratree.But, in Beau Vallon, their Nissan is going off the road to hit a tree head-on.
On impact, Aartee Teepsoo, who sits at the front, died instantly, even though both have airbags triggered. The police of the locality is mended quickly on the scene. The five injured were rushed to the hospital in Mahebourg, before being transferred to that of Rose-Belle.
An autopsy by the medical examiner, Dr. Salim Saib, attributed the deaths to Aartee Teepsoo of multiple injuries. She had a fractured skull and face squashed.
Kamal Rakesh Teepsoo, and the girl of six years of the latter, suffered fractures, while the health of Padmini Teepsoo and son of Kamal is considered seriously. "I had the shock of my life," recalls Ramsoobhug Kaviraj, the victim's brother, with tears in her eyes. The latter, aged 20, told us that three weeks ago, his family went to Ganga Talao for prayers of thanks, for he had got a job at the bank. It was his sister Aartee who helped him get this job. Once home, the family celebrated the success of Kaviraj. When the young man heard the news of the accident, he went to the scene, thinking it was not as severe. But he witnessed a scene worthy of a nightmare.
Moreover, her brother Kailash, aged 23, said he was the first person to arrive at the scene of the accident. "Aartee is like a second mother to me. It was she who financed my last year of study in accounting, "he says.
The family had spent on Saturday, February 11, one last memorable day in the company of Aartee at birthday party the son of the deceased. However, Kamal, better known as Manoj, was not present due to the cyclone warning.
The exact circumstances of this accident are still unknown. However, relatives of Teepsoo explain the possibility that Kamal has fallen asleep at the wheel of his Nissan AK12.
