He wanted to shed light on the cause of the incidents that happened a year ago on March 1, 2011.
He suspected that the fire in his car garage was a well-planned conspiracy by his political enemies.
“The intention was to kill me. Burning my cars and my house was a part of the plan. As a true citizen of this country, I speak for the oppressed and denounce corruption in the public sector and this is how I am rewarded,” he added.
Boodhoo also critisised the way the government is operating. He stated that freedom of speech and public opinion does not exist in a democratic country.
“No one can be trusted. If I go to the hospital to get treated, I can be killed in my sleep. If I go to the court to seek justice, my case is ignored. My views are suppressed and this has resulted in the fire incident,” he said. He also disagreed that he set the car on fire himself.
He urged the police commissioner to answer his letters and the director of public prosecutions to take up his cases.
Boodhoo said he uses Facebook as a medium to inform the public about the current deploring situation. He claimed that more than 86,000 people, including local and international Facebookers, have read his articles.
