Car Prank: 'Snow-Beetle' Fined
AACHEN, Germany - Sometimes it gets so cold people can’t think straight as one hapless traffic cop in Germany found. The cop inadvertantely handed out a ticket to a snow sculpture of a Volkswagen Beetle sitting in a no-parking’ zone.

According to Orange.co.uk, the full-size Beetle looked so convincing the law official only realised it was a heap of snow after he tried scraping away the snow to check the licence plate.

Apparently pranksters had built the car overnight in the parking area in Aachen.

You can’t blame the guy since the car looked so real; it even had head and tail light outlines, side mirrors, windscreen and even a distinctive VW badge on the bonnet.

An Aachen local said: "It was incredibly realistic looking. It looked like you could get into it and drive away once you'd swept the snow off."

However, local officials gave the prank a frosty response said the orange website.

A traffic spokesman said: "We can take a joke as well as the next person and it was a very convincing prank. Whether it was made of metal or snow it was still obstructing a road that should have been clear."
