Car-Scammers Hit South African Dealers
Police are investigating a scam by con-artists pretending to be second-hand car salesmen.

SAPS captain Collette Weilbach ssaid (August 2013) that five cases were being investigated by the Villieria, Pretoria Central and Sinoville police stations.
According to authorities, fraudsters pretend to be vehicle salesmen at dealerships then dupe would-be buyers into paying them cash in exchange for a discount.
Weilbach advised potential buyers to speak directly to dealerships to ensure the transaction was legal.
