This is what we might call an operation carried out efficiently. Tuesday, March 11, it took only four hours to the Environment police for four regions and cross track motorists whose vehicles emit too much carbon dioxide.
Results of the operation: 44 offenders sanctioned Forest-Side, Port Louis, Flacq and in the North. Among the vehicles identified, four buses belonging to two major transportation companies in the country. They were allowed to flow because they each showed rates of CO2 beyond 70%, while the rate permitted is below 50%.
Regarding the other 40 vehicles, 18 of them were unfit to drive their engines which must be revised so that they do not pollute. For the ban to be lifted, the owners have 15 days to get to one of the centers of the National Transport Authority with vehicles whose engines are in good condition. According to our information, the police of the Environment will further checks regularly.
