Custom Royal Enfield ‘Stardust’ café racer by Maratha Motorcycles
Mumbai-based Maratha Motorcycles has created a new Royal Enfield café racer, called the ‘Stardust.’ Maratha Motorcycles used the Royal Enfield Classic 350 as a base for this custom cafe racer.

The modified Royal Enfield Stardust is a craft-house café racer creation that takes inspiration from a multi-faceted radiant diamond. The bike features a chroma flair paint scheme that is made possible by royal pearls. The pearls represent grains, which are solid refractory pieces of individual 'presolar stars.' The unique paint scheme changes its colour with the viewing angle and light source.

The customized Royal Enfield café racer features handcrafted body parts like the café-fuel tank, rear cowl, and side panels. Other peripheral parts like rear swingarm, exhaust system, and headlight mounts are all hand chamfered. The rectangular air-filter and battery box are unique and custom-built as well.

The presence of a single-seat and rear cowl in place of the pillion seat makes this custom Royal Enfield Stardust a true-blue café racer. The bike also features hand-built rear set footpeg mounts and a number-plate holder. The front turn indicators are integrated into the clip-on handlebars, while the taillight and rear indicators sit inside the rear frame below the seat cowl.

The Royal Enfield Stardust runs on classic café racer tires, manufactured in England, which pair with custom 16-inch wire-spoke wheels. To maintain the uniqueness of the cafe racer, the frame, triple clamps, and hand grips are customized in-house. Apart from the fuel tank, side panels and rear cowl, all other parts get black paint treatment.

Powering the Royal Enfield Stardust café racer is a 346 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled with carburetted fuelling. The engine generates 19.8 bhp of maximum power at 5,250 rpm while developing a peak torque of 28 Nm at 4,000 rpm, while the engine pairs to a 5-speed transmission. Stopping power comes from a 280 mm disc brake up front and a 153 mm rear drum brake. The custom motorcycle receives telescopic front forks and an adjustable rear mono-shock.
