The cycle race will comprise two circuits – 40 and 70 kilometres. This will start at 8.30 am.
The director of FTL, Cedric Lagesse, who is also a cyclist, said that he is happy that his company is associated with the race and it is for the second time that they are sponsoring the event. He added, “We hope that all cycle enthusiasts, both young and old, will be present in huge numbers on Sunday.”
The race will be open to both boys and girls at all levels. The director of CRA, Christian Desjardins said, “The FTL has always been present to support such events.
Cycling is gaining more popularity on the island through such fun races that are well organised and secured.” He added they have set up a new system, ‘Elite Timing’, which will enable the participants to see their results and timing on the website www.craevents.com.
The 40 km race circuit will include regions such as Beau Plan, Poudre D’or and the new bypass at Goodlands. The participants of the 70 km race will go through the same regions but will also pass through Bras D’eau.
