Despite Paul Walker Tragedy, Studio Expects at Least 3 More Fast and Furious Movies
It was only natural that questions regarding the future of the Fast and Furious movie franchise would surface following the tragic death of star Paul Walker – and let's be clear that the consequences of Walker's death transcend far past the fate of a series of movies he starred in – but a recent interview with studio executives has revealed that there may be more movies coming than we would have initially guessed.

Speaking in a roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter, Donna Langley of Universal Studios hinted that there may be as many as three more Fast and Furious movies in the planning stages. "Paul is, and always will be, an integral part of the story. But there are many other great characters, and it's also an opportunity to introduce new characters. I think it's still a growing franchise," said Langley.

Fans of the series will likely be pleased to hear that Universal isn't throwing in the towel even after the loss of one of its main characters, but others – this writer included – question whether the world really wants a total of 10 Fast and Furious movies to chew through. Langley counters, "... our box office has grown over the past three or four films and internationally, in particular. So we think that there's more to mine there. But we're of course very mindful about fatigue."
