Spokesman of the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam National Hospital (SSRNH), Pamplemousses, confirmed the death of the Bangladeshi worker, Elias Gazi, who had continuous cruel head injuries. He passed away in the afternoon of Wednesday after being 6 days in comma, at the medical intensive care unit (ICU). 

Elias Gazi became the 11th Bangladeshi victim in addition to the Mauritian driver, Mohamed Allykhan Jahangeer, who was carrying the foreign workers to their work place. There is one more Bangladeshi at the ICU whose condition is described as very critical. The third one, who is at the cardiac unit, has shown improvement and his condition is considered to be stable, according to the Hospital spokesman. 

The body will be flown by the state to Bangladesh and the bereaved family will receive compensation. Each family of the first 10 victims had received $2000 as compensation. 

The accident had occurred when the auto carrying 14 Bangladeshis crash to an approaching truck. The truck driver Bruneau Tabani was taken into protection for his own safety that police said, but he was released next day ahead his lawyer involvement.
