Face of the 2017 Kia Picanto allegedly leaked

The front fascia is an evolutionary step up from that of the current model, featuring a hexagonal grille with rounded edges, wide tiger-nose grille directly flanked by LED headlamps and foglamps with projector lighting. The third-gen Picanto will retain the profile styling, while the rear-end has new C-shaped tail lamps.

Reports suggest that the Hyundai i10-based hatchback is expected with the 65 bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder and 85 bhp 1.25-litre four-cylinder petrol engines. Both variants will feature a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while an automatic transmission will be optional.

The 2017 Kia Picanto/2017 Kia Morning is reported to make its world debut in early 2017 and arrive in showrooms later the same year. Given that Kia is plotting an entry into the Indian market towards the end of the decade, one can expect the Picanto to be part of Kia India's portfolio, which could be marketed as a sportier alternative to the Hyundai Grand i10.
