The Tipo’s dimensions will be identical to Egea, which measures 4500 mm long, 1780 mm wide, 1480 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2640 mm. As previewed by the Egea, the Fiat Tipo features an all new design that is a remarkable upgrade from the Linea.
The interior comes with a flowing dashboard featuring a silver accent running across it, and buttons neatly arranged under the central HVAC vents, a 3-spoke steering wheel with buttons, Uconnect infotainment system with a 5-inch color touchscreen display, automatic climate control and Bluetooth connectivity.
Fiat has confirmed that the Tipo will offer two Multijet diesel engines: 95 hp and 120 hp. They are likely to be the 1.3 Multijet capable of 95 PS and a 1.6 Multijet II with 120 hp. It will be paired to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Reports suggest that, apart from its main production in Turkey, the Fiat Tipo will also be manufactured in Brazil and India, re-igniting rumors of its eventual introduction in India.
