Fiat Toro Officially Unveiled, Launch in Early 2016 or Late 2015
FCA Brazil has released the first official image of the Fiat Toro pick-up truck, following its teaser several days back.

Revealed through spyshots and renders, the Fiat Toro draws heavy design influence from the Fiat FCC4 concept from the 2014 Sao Paulo Auto Show. Characteristic features include sleek pilot lamps that are separated from main headlamps which flow into the dual-slat chrome grille. The foglamps have chrome-trimmed enclosures, while the lower bumper has a silver skid plate.

It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, and features black plastic body cladding around the wheel arches and side skirts. Also seen are a pair of large roof rails and ORVMs with turn indicators.

Inside, the top-spec Fiat Toro will be equipped with optional electric sunroof, partial leather upholstery, automatic climate control, audio system with subwoofer, auto- headlight & rain sensors, and a 5-inch UConnect touchscreen system that comes integrated with GPS navigation, rearview camera and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Fiat Toro comes with a choice between two engines: a 1.8 16v E-Torq Flex petrol engine and 2.0 16v Multijet turbodiesel. The former produces 138 bhp and is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the latter delivers 170 bhp through a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic gearbox. A 4×4 drivetrain is only available in the 2.0L turbodiesel variant.

Production of the Fiat Toro has already commenced at the company’s factory in Pernambuco, Brazil, and is expected to arrive at dealerships in late 2015 or early 2016.
