Travelers often dream of upgrading to first class for flights, but what can you do about the rental car that is waiting when you land?
Car rental companies are offering a growing range of luxury cars for people who want flashy rides to impress clients or spice up a class reunion.
We’re not talking about swapping a cheap subcompact for a midsize SUV or large sedan. Some companies will rent you an Audi or a even a Bentley with a sticker price north of $200,000. Be careful, though, because special cars sometimes carry special liabilities. Scott McCartney, The Wall Street Journal’s Middle Seat columnist, suggests making sure your insurance has you covered.
