Invisible Bike Helmet Promises To Save Your Hair And Your Head
What's the worst part about riding a bicycle? It's definitely not the fuel savings, we hope it's not the extra exercise, and, for some brave riders, it's not the ability to slot through gridlocked traffic.

We're going to go out on a limb and say that donning a helmet for the ride is one of the worst aspects of cycling; people just don't like to do it. And despite bicycles predating cars by more than a half a century, there still isn't a good solution for head protection that avoids dreaded helmet hair. Seventeen-year-old riders will probably chuck their helmets to ride in style as soon as they turn legal.

That's where the Hövding helmet comes in. Two Swedish women came up with the idea of an invisible helmet in grad school that won't mess up your hair, and it's finally ready to hit the streets (literally!). We won't give away how the helmet works - we'll leave that up to the video below - but we will say it shares some similarities with motorcycle racing safety technology that's starting to make its way into street gear. Do we see a trend forming?
