Land Rover Sees 4-Month Wait for New Models, Running Plant 24-Hours a Day
Land Rover is, as they say, on a roll. The British luxury off-road brand seemingly can't put a wheel wrong, releasing only its fourth all-new Range Rover and its second-generation Range Rover Sport last year, both of which have come in for rave reviews.

Before that, it was the Range Rover Evoque, which successfully moved the Range Rover name downmarket and gave a shot in the arm to the brand's styling.

As a result of these moves, the brand's UK factory is reportedly running 24 hours a day, five days a week, with would-be buyers of the most luxurious and expensive models, the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, are waiting up to four months to get their SUVs. "Depending on where you are in the country, I would say the average is about a four-month wait right now for those products," Kim McCullough, the brand's vice president, told Edmunds.

The wait times should go down, though, according to McCullough. Production is "getting up to a point where we are producing enough vehicles to meet demand," after an unknown production issue.
