Mad Max Game Trailer Debuts, Real-Life Magnum Opus Car is Built
We had our first taste of the upcoming Mad Max title for PS4 and Xbox One at E3 last year, and are happy to report that the dystopian driving title seems to be making good progress.

To wit, the Avalanche Studios/Warner Brothers epic has just received a new trailer today, featuring the game's movie-star car: Magnum Opus.

The trailer itself offers up about what you'd expect from a Mad Max video game, brutally modified cars tearing at each other's bodywork, in between inexplicable explosions and jumps. All of that might mean nothing more than a narrow-genre remix of games like Twisted Metal, if it wasn't for the promise of some pretty cool vehicle customization.

Reading between the lines of the press release it seems as though players will be able to hack and slash through the wastelands, adding functional changes like heavy-duty grilles, terrain-specialized tires, suspension components, various kinds of armor, upgraded engines and exhaust, and, of course, a festival of shredder wheels and spiky pieces. Oh, there's a harpoon, too. We're pretty excited about the harpoon.

To add some substance to the pre-rollout events (the game isn't going to hit shelves until next year), the guys at TV show West Coast Customs have actually build a running version of the Magnum Opus.
