The yet-unnamed Bentley SUV has been spied endurance testing in Europe, but this time it’s not housed within an Audi Q7. As you can see, the Bentley 4x4 will borrow plenty of design cues from the controversial EXP 9 F concept. Heavy camo hides the luxury SUV’s final shape, but Bentley’s wireframe grille and twin round headlamps will almost certainly make it to the finished article. The luxury offroader will be underpinned by VW’s third-gen SUV platform that will also be shared with the Lamborghini Urus, next-gen Audi Q7 and VW Touareg.
Power will come from either a twin-turbo V8 or the carmaker’s W12 engine, with hybrid and diesel engines also in the British carmaker’s thoughts. Crewe has confirmed 3,500 units will be built annually, while Bentley says 2,000 pre-orders have already been taken. Codenamed Falcon, expect to see the Bentley SUV in showrooms in 2016.
