Meet Kamiwaza: the RWB Porsche you've been dreaming of

Owning one of Nakai-San's RWB Porsche is an achievement on its own. Owning one that was commissioned by one of the company's directors and having another one on the way is on a whole new level.

This is RWB Kamiwaza, a "Hot Rod Flat Black" beauty for whom the word "subtle" holds no meaning and whose name translation aptly describes its presence: "godlike." Between the tall wing, the 930 Royal wide body kit, and the deep dish, multi-spoke gold wheels, Kamiwaza is the embodiment of the outlaw Porsche aesthetic that put RWD in the automotive history books. It's bold, intimidating, and you'll willingly give it your lunch money if it asks.

From the Land of the Rising Sun to our shores
This Porsche was first built for Toshiya Ichiraku, one of Nakai-San’s closest friends, as a sibling car to a similar white RWB bearing the same name. In addition to being involved in brands like RWB and Liberty Walk, Toshi-San is the CEO of Fuel Fest Japan and owns tuning parts resellers 1048style and the car's namesake, Kamiwaza-Japan Co., Ltd.

On the other side of the globe, Art Rooney IV grew up around the exotic and custom cars of the Pittsburgh Steelers players. One of his friends owned a lowered Chevy, while a coworker drove a Porsche GT3RS. That combination of lowered and German cars eventually materialized into a 2016 Porsche GT3RS. It's not a bad way to dive into legendary sports cars.

Art eventually stumbled upon the crafty genius of Nakai-San, the mastermind behind the customization shop that is RWB. For the uninitiated, RWB is what happens when Porsches join a street gang. How can you tell an RWB Porsche away from the rest? One glance will do it. With their handmade wide-body kits, double or triple-decker wings, and ground-kissing ride height, there is nothing that can rival one of Nakai-San's creations.

Art's admiration for the works of art that Nakai-San's hands bestowed upon the world led to a meeting with Brent, the artist behind @tanukiart, who introduced him to Toshi-San. After some time, Art ended up taking ownership of Kamiwaza, bringing us to the present day.

Current mods include 9Eleven headlights, custom CarBone door cards, RSR exhaust and headers, a Titan Motorsport roll cage, and all-new handling and suspension parts.

Oh, and remember when I mentioned how big of a flex having two RWB Porsches is? Art's 993 is scheduled to be built by Nakai-San in Naples, Florida, sometime in the coming months. Word around town is that it will wear the “Heavenly Wide” body kit along with Monaco copper wheels.

Final thoughts
As for Kamiwaza, oh boy. It really is the kind of car you don't want to see down a dark alley at night. Props to Toshi-San for commissioning such a menacing machine and to Art for recognizing how special of a car it is.
