Mercedes-AMG S65 Cabrio is the Ultimate V12 Droptop
The flagship in Daimler's considerable and expanding portfolio of convertibles, the S65 is the top version of the new S-Class Cabriolet. That means a spacious four-seat cabin, a three-layer folding fabric roof, and all the bells and whistles.
But it also means a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine made by hand in Mannheim, Germany, good for 630 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque.
This is the same engine you'll find in the Mercedes G65 sport-ute or SL65 roadster – not to mention the S65's own coupe and sedan variants. Mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, it'll rocket the big cabrio to 100 km per hour in just 4.1 seconds en route to a top speed of 300 km/h.
