Mercedes Benz Will Offer the Illuminated Star as an Accessory
Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmBH has announced that an illuminated front grille star will be offered on its compact model range. Built using optical fiber and LED technology, the star emblem emits a white glow when the car is stationary.
The unmistakable three-pointed star glows when the car in unlocked or when the engine is shut. The star also lights up when the trunk door is released.The illuminated grille star is already available on the M- and GL-Class models. It is optionally available from next month on the Mercedes C, CLS and E Class models. Models equipped with Distronic system (radar-guided braking and driving assistant) cannot have this feature.The luminous star is priced at 300 Euros
