The Pajero Sport has been on sale without cosmetic changes in Indonesia since 2009, and to restrict the Fortuner from eating into its market share, an upgrade is the need of the hour.
Mitsubishi Indonesia has teased the car on its Facebook page saying that it will be unveiled on 24th May. Here are a set of the spyshots uploaded by Autonetmagz.com. The first cars have already reached dealerships.
From the spyshots the changes made to the exterior of the car are easy to spot. The front and rear bumper get aero body kits complete with silver scuff plates that lend a sporty look. The lower air dam houses a pair of LED daytime running light strips.
On the inside, the dashboard has the original design and layout but a touch screen display in the centre console that incorporates GPS navigation and rear parking camera has been included.
There are no changes under the skin though. However, the Indonesian Pajero gets a 5-speed automatic transmission where as the Indian version makes do with a 5-speed manual unit.
