Mitsubishi Bringing New Crossover Concept to 2015 Geneva Motor Show
Is this the new Evo? Having announced a new SUV would be showcased at the Chicago Auto Show next month, Mitsubishi has just released two teaser images of a new concept vehicle it plans to showcase at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March.
Said to preview a “bold design renaissance,” the concept will also boast the next-generation of 2WD plug-in hybrid electric technology. But what future production model is the concept previewing, if any?
An update of the Concept XR-PHEV concept is the most likely candidate, which Mitsubishi says will be “a smart combination of engineering, fluency with a high-output electric motor, low environmental impact, dynamic agility and athletic design.” There’s been talk of the next-gen Evolution arriving as a crossover at some point too. Could this be it? We’ll find out soon enough.
