The Mitsubishi Xpander employs the 4A91 1.5L MIVEC petrol engine that develops 105 PS at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine sends drive to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The Mitsubishi Xpander is available in the Philippines in four grades: GLX, GLX Plus, GLS and GLS Sport. On the outside, the 7-seat MPV features LED positioning lamps, uniquely designed headlights positioned lower than usual, 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels and LED tail lamps. 2-DIN 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation, 12V power outlets in all three rows and cruise control are some of the interior highlights. On the safety front, dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD are standard, while Active Stability and Traction Control Control and Hill Start Assist are available in higher-end configurations.
Local reports say that the Mitsubishi Xpander's deliveries in the Philippines will commence in May this year. Production of the MPV takes places exclusively at the new factory in Bekasi Prefecture, Indonesia.
