New car? Do a Deal at 36 000ft
China's biggest private carrier, Spring Airlines, will soon be selling cars to passengers during their flights.

A spokesman for the airline said the airline planned to start selling Chinese vehicles priced from the equivalent of R145 000 by as early as April, according to the Detroit News.

Flight attendants will now have their portfolios expanded; while they’re ace students in air safety, they’ll also have to double up as car salespeople and know the ins and outs of the products to be sold at 36 000 feet.

The airline is keeping mum on details as they’re apparently still in talks about which brands will be on offer.

"We wanted to start in-flight sales a few years ago and decided cars were suitable for our passengers," the spokesman said. "Car sales are very popular in Shanghai and our passengers will have time during their flight to study details of the models available."

This new convenience will only be available for now on flights from Shanghai but passengers can rest assured they’ll be eligible for discounts.
