New Nissan X-Trail
Available only in the top-end three-row variant with 4WD. The new Nissan X-Trail has been launched in Sri Lanka at the 2014 Colombo Motor Show. The car will be imported by Associated Motorways Pvt. Ltd., the brand’s authorized distributor in the country.

Available only in the fully loaded 3-row 4WD variant. The vehicle is imported from Japan.

The latest X-Trail gets Nissan’s new design language which is characterized by the prominent U-shaped chrome element on the front grille, sleek headlamps with LED daytime running lights and a bumper with a chrome chin plate. The car measures 4,640 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width, 1,710 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,705 mm.

In profile, the SUV gets an upward swooping greenhouse while a wraparound windshield and angular taillights sum up the exterior talking points. The dual-tonne beige-black interior also subscribes to Nissan’s latest design language.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which pumps out an adequate 144 PS (142 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque. The XTRONIC CVT automatic is the only transmission on offer.

The X-Trail is the first car from the Renault-Nissan alliance to use the CMF Platform and was launched globally at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013.
