This time around is no exception, but the two cars in question are a bit of an odd match-up. In the modern corner is the Nissan GT-R, a car that needs no introduction as its twin-turbo V6 and legend status tells you all you need to know.
In thew old school corner is the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, essentially the result of taking the British automaker's smallest car and stuffing its largest engine inside. It may not be the most technologically advanced since sticking a large V12 up front doesn't make for the most dynamic of vehicles unless your badge has a prancing horse in it.
But that doesn't stop the Aston Martin from having what it takes to succeed. Namely, horsepower. However, the question of old versus new can not be answered simply by finding out which is faster around a track. These are cars for goodness sakes, the real winner is the one that can produce the biggest smile on its driver. For that, old school is decidedly more fun, just try out a manual transmission if you need any evidence. Unfortunately for the Aston Martin, the Nissan GT-R is not a car that has been accused of being too boring, just ask this tow truck driver who stole a GT-R and risked his job just to get a few hours with the car. And so the battle wages on.
