The Nissan Kicks is already on sale in the region priced from AED 59,000 (INR 1,049,274). It is sold with a 1.6 L petrol engine mated to Nissan's XTronic CVT gearbox.
The front of the Kicks is characterised by the company's signature V-Motion grille, boomerang head and taillights, and the floating roof with a "wrap-around visor" look to the windscreen and side glass. The display car is finished in Cayenne Red, which is one of seven colours on offer. It rides on 17-inch dual tone 10-spoke alloy wheels.
The cabin is dominated by black trim and upholstery with black leather dashboard inserts and leather draped steering wheel and seats. The Nissan Kicks gets a flat bottom steering wheel, a centrally mounted touchscreen AVN, and an analogue-digital instrument console. The 7-inch screen offers a virtual 360º bird's-eye view of the car using four cameras. The user can select split-screen close-ups of the front, rear, and curbside views.
The 1,598 cc 4-cylinder petrol engine powering the Nissan Kicks produces 118 hp and 15.2 kg-m of torque. Xtronic CVT is the only transmission option available. There are three variants on offer –
A report from October claims the Nissan Kicks is confirmed for the Indian market. However, the India-spec model will utilise the current Renault Duster/Nissan Terrano's platform to keep costs low. The Nissan Kicks will be a direct rival to the Renault Captur.
