Nissan Terra to be launched in China on 12 April, first details released
Zhengzhou Nissan has announced that it will launch the Nissan Terra in China on 12 April, 2018.

Along with the announcement, the company has released the first details of the new Ford Everest (Ford Endeavour) rival.

The Nissan Terra is the successor to the Nissan Paladin, also known as the Nissan Xterra. It is based on the latest Nissan Navara that was introduced in 2014. The mid-size SUV measures 4,882 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,835 mm in height and has a 2,850 mm wheelbase.

Zhengzhou Nissan has confirmed only two features so far, LED headlamps and 18-inch alloy wheels, although more features like LED DRLs, wood trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system, engine start-stop button and cruise control are visible in the official images. According to an internal marketing document accessed by IAB, the Terra will feature Zero Gravity front seats as well.

The Chinese-spec Nissan Terra employs the 135 kW (184 PS) 2.4L naturally aspirated petrol engine in conjunction with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission. Zhengzhou Nissan will offer a 4WD system in select configurations. The ladder-frame SUV will have a 220 mm ground clearance, 33° approach angle and 26° departure angle, as per the aforementioned document.

The Nissan Terra will reach other markets later this year, beginning with Thailand.
