Nissan Z Cars Break Longest Twin Vehicle Drifting World Record with One Continuous 17-Mile Drift
Twin-drift record set in Dubai. For no less than 28.52 km, a pair of Nissan 370Zs performed a continuous drift in Dubai setting a new Guinness World Record for longest twin vehicle drift.
The record attempt went down at the 370Z Drift Experience in Dubai, where visitors were schooled in the art of drifting. Nissan Middle East Managing Director Samir Cherfan said of the achievement: "The Nissan Z is a very popular car in the drifting scene, and this new record is yet another proof on the ability of this car to make drifting look so easy."
Other drifting records acknowledged by Guinness include the fastest drift – set in a 1,000-hp Toyota GT86 that clocked a speed of 136 mph while drifting – and the world’s longest drift, which was also set in a GT86 that drifted for 89.55 miles.
