The Portuguese Navy Tall Ship (NRP) Sagres, one of the most well known ships in the World, will be in Port Louis between 24 and 27 April 2020.
This call at the port of Port Louis takes place under the Commemorations of the 5th Century of the 1st Circumnavigation commanded by the Portuguese navigator Fernão de Magalhães (2019-2022). Mauritius is one of the 19 countries selected for the historic expedition.
During 371 days, the ship's mission will focus on sea training for first and second-year Naval Academy cadets, as well as on port calls and diplomatic and economic activities.
The ship will be open for visits.
