NTC Tender for Purchase of 65 Buses: Materials Referred to the ICAC
"It seems that the NTC wanted to promote a supplier in its tender 65 buses in 2012." This was said Premcoomar Beeharry, chairman of the Central Procurement Board, at a press conference this Thursday July 18.

The management of the National Transport Corporation (NTC) is once again blamed. This time, none other than the Central Procurement Board . Its chairman hosted a press conference this Thursday, July 18 to argue that the company would have tried to promote a supplier in the tender for the purchase of 65 buses in 2012. The case was referred to the ICAC for two weeks.

"The NTC has sought to promote a supplier," argued the chairman of the CPB, Premcoomar Beeharry. He said that the bid document was very specific, requiring, among other things, six-speed vehicles. So, one supplier was able to meet all these criteria. Smelling a suspicious case, the CPB was immediately canceled the tender while respecting the procedures, said Premcoomar Beeharry.
