Audi is issuing a recall on 70,000 cars worldwide built between March and December, 2012; specifically the A4, A5, A6, A7, Q5 and Q7. Apparently the defect in the brake booster could impair the braking power of the vehicles in question. If engine oil enters the brake servo through vacuum lines it could rupture a membrane, resulting in a booster failure.
Audi has asked its customers that own a vehicle within this date range to contact their local dealer to schedule an appointment to correct the problem. It's believed to be a relatively easy fix, and far more convenient than being on the road and losing your brakes. So get in there before it's too late.
